Electrical contractor marketing for the panel upgrades, not the service calls

Most electrical contractors rank for the cheapest work they do. Panel upgrades, EV charger installs, and commercial jobs are searched differently, by someone who has already decided to spend, and almost nobody goes after them on purpose. We work with independent electrical contractors doing $2M to $10M who compete with regional players and private-equity-backed roll-ups.

The work

What electrical contractor marketing should cover

Marketing for electricians usually stops at a website and a few ads. These are the pieces that decide which work you're found for and how much of it you win.

  1. 01

    Pages for high-ticket work

"Electrician near me" brings outlets and troubleshooting. Panel upgrades, service changes, and EV chargers each need a page that answers what that buyer asks before they call.

  2. 02

    Local Services Ads

Electrical is one of the trades Google began moving into Performance Max in August 2026. You still need to be Google Verified, and how reliably you answer still affects where you show.

  3. 03

    Commercial relationships

General contractors and property managers are the best revenue in this trade and the least systematic. Track who sends work and stay in touch on a schedule, so one retirement can't take the account with it.

  4. 04

    Bid lists and prequalification

Procurement portals, GC prequalification lists, and insurer panels filter on license, insurance, and verification records before anyone reads a name. A stale record quietly removes you from bids you never hear about.

  5. 05

    Quote speed

On larger residential and light commercial work, the first credible quote very often wins. If a quote takes four days to leave the building, you're losing work you'd already earned.

The leak

Your best work isn't what you're found for.

You rank for the cheap job

"Electrician near me" brings outlets and troubleshooting. Panel upgrades, service changes and EV charger installs are searched differently, by someone who has already decided to spend, and they're usually wide open.

Commercial work is all word of mouth

General contractors and property managers are the best revenue in this trade and the least systematic. When the relationship depends on one person remembering you, one retirement takes the account with it.

You're missing from the lists buyers filter by

Procurement portals, GC prequalification lists and insurer panels filter on license, insurance and verification records before anyone reads a name. A stale record quietly removes you from bids you never learn existed.

Slow quotes lose won jobs

On larger residential and light commercial work the first credible quote very often wins, not the lowest one. If a quote takes you four days to get out, you're losing work you'd already earned.

Proof

Our published results come from restoration and remediation.

We haven't published an electrical case study, so we won't imply one. Remediation is won the way commercial electrical work is: the buyer filters on licenses and certifications before anyone reads your name. These are the results from that work and from emergency restoration.

Start here

One day. Your numbers, your market, your plan.

You send a raw export from your CRM covering the last 6 to 12 months. That's the whole ask, no questionnaires and no discovery calls. Then we spend a day on your business only: what your competitors are spending and where they're thin, which high-ticket work you're eligible for and invisible in, how your commercial relationships actually get fed, and how long a quote really takes to leave the building. You leave with a 90-day system you can run yourself.

What you get in the Pathfinder Sprint
  • Local competitor ad-spend & footprint map$1,500
  • Commercial listing & bid-eligibility auditLocal Services Ads (LSA) / Google Verified qualification, directory presence, license & insurance verification$1,000
  • Speed-to-lead & response-time teardownHow fast calls, forms and chats actually get answered today, where leads go cold in the handoff, and what the misses are costing you in booked work$750
  • 8-hour senior strategy working session$3,500
  • Your ready-to-run 90-day growth system$1,500
  • Custom software & automation build map$2,000
Total value$10,250
Your investment$950

The full $950 comes off your first month if you continue to a monthly plan.

If it doesn't show you an opening, you don't pay.

Sit through the day, and if you don't leave with a clear opening in your market and a system to go after it, tell us and we'll refund every dollar. You keep the competitor map, the audit, the teardown and the 90-day system anyway. We'd rather hand you the work and lose the fee than keep money from someone we didn't help.

Exclusivity

One operator per trade, per metro.

Everything we build is aimed at winning one local market, so we can't do it for two companies in the same one. Once an operator in your trade and your metro is in, we turn the next one away, and that works both ways: if you're the one out in front, the shop chasing you can't hire us to close the gap. We also only run three of these a month, because the founder is in the room for all of them.

Questions

Electrical marketing, answered

How do electrical contractors get more customers?

Decide which work you want more of, then be found for it on purpose. Most electricians get the small service calls by default. Panel upgrades, EV chargers, and commercial work come from dedicated pages, eligibility on the lists buyers filter by, and quotes that go out quickly.

Should electrical contractors use Local Services Ads?

For residential work, usually. You pay per lead rather than per click, and you show above the map. You need to be Google Verified, and since August 2026 electrical accounts are moving into Performance Max with daily budgets.

How much should an electrical contractor spend on marketing?

Start from your growth goal rather than an industry percentage: how many more jobs of the kind you want, what each is worth, and what one costs you to win today. Our free marketing budget calculator works it out from your own numbers.

Do you work with electrical contractors specifically?

We work with independent home and commercial service operators, and the mechanics are the same across the trades: being found for the work that pays, eligibility on the lists buyers filter by, and speed on quotes and callbacks. Our published results are from restoration and remediation, because those are the clients cleared for us to name. In the session we work on your numbers, not theirs.

What does it cost to start?

The Pathfinder Sprint is $950, paid up front, one day, fixed scope. No retainer and no lock-in. If you go on to a monthly plan the full $950 comes off your first month, so you never pay for it twice.

Will you work with my local competitors too?

No. One electrical contractor per metro. Once you're in, the shop down the road can't hire us, and if they get in first, you can't.
